I’ve had the pleasure of knowing Darkside for over ten years now and have watched him progress in the skydiving industry, all the way up to opening up his own tandem base jumping company, Base Jump the Bridge, in Twin Falls, Idaho. It has been amazing watching him pursue his dreams and passions.
I first met Darkside at a little drop zone located on the outskirts of Plant City, FL named Jump Florida. It was a fast friendship when we discovered we had the same taste in music and a common love of all things skydiving. He encouraged me to expand my horizons and take a trip to Bridge Day out in West Virginia to see what base jumping was all about. I went that year and got to watch him and other base jumpers from all over the world jump off the New River Gorge Bridge. After that, anytime Darkside would come to Florida for vacations, we would always do a tandem skydive at Skydive City in Zephyrhills. I also took a couple of vacations to jump with him in other states. I visited him in Tennessee to do a tandem skydive at Skydive East Tennessee and I also visited him in Colorado to do a jump at Rocky Mountain Skydive. He has always made me feel safe and secure anytime I have jumped with him. He takes the time to explain everything and gives you a chance to ask questions and he addresses any concerns you may have. I look forward to doing a tandem base jump with him in the near future at Base Jump the Bridge in Twin Falls.
